Title: SEO Team Lead

Job Summary:

The SEO Team Lead works directly with the Director of Organic Marketing to oversee the strategic development and execution of SEO initiatives.

This role requires a deep understanding of organic search, the ability to identify opportunities for improvement, manage and pace projects effectively, and deliver results on deadline. The SEO Team Lead mentors a team of SEOs and collaborates with senior management to help our clients maximize their online visibility, drive quality traffic, and enhance user experience.

The aptitude to lead, develop, and support a diverse team and foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning is key to this position.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and develop a team of SEOs, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to achieve agency goals and objectives.

2. Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings, increase website traffic, and enhance user experience.

3. Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management on project development, timelines, and results.

4. Manage tasks and requests for assigned clients and serve as the first level of escalation for the team.

5. Stay updated on industry trends, algorithm updates, and best practices in SEO to ensure our strategies remain effective and compliant with search engine guidelines.

6. Stay informed of all Brand and Compliance standards relative to the digital automotive landscape.

7. Stay abreast of emerging SEO technologies and tools and recommend innovative solutions to enhance our digital efforts.

8. Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning within the SEO team.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications in SEO or digital marketing is a plus.
    • Proven experience in directly leading a team of 10 or more to reach daily, weekly, and monthly objectives. Experience leading SEO teams in an agency environment is a plus.
    • In-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO best practices.
    • Proficiency in SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Google Business Profile, etc.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex ideas to stakeholders.
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
    • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills with a focus on driving results and achieving business objectives.
    • Passion for staying updated on industry trends, innovations, and emerging technologies in SEO and digital marketing.
